Rule: A move may never end in an empty space, but it is allowed to move across one or more empty spaces.
I had a piece at B2 and wanted to move it to G2 crossing empty spaces in a straight line• Är regelbrottet synligt i återuppspelning? Om ja, vilket nummer är det på draget?
Move 33 in the log on the side of the UI. Not sure the official BGA Move #. I think something around 70• Vad har du för webbläsare?

The line in the rules above the one you quoted says:
A piece or stack must always be moved as a whole and moves as many spaces as there are pieces in the stack.
Since there was only ever ONE single piece on B2, it could move only one space, thus the only possible move for that piece was the one you also made in the end: B2-C3
