At the start of 1756 (campaign game), a British Settled Space (Rumford), captured in 1755 by French light units, does not revert to British control after the French light units are removed for purposes of return to colonies at the end of 1755 Winter Quarters LR (the choice to leave the French light units in Rumford was not taken as a larger British stack was nearby).
As this is a British Settled Space on which no more enemy French units are present following the final LR, one would expect the British militia to have taken over per 2.1.2 at the start of 1756.
Rules reference: via 17.3.1, the light units were given the option to remain in Winter Garrisons. This option was not taken and two light French units returned to a Colony Home Space. -
• Varsågod och förklara vad du ville göra, vad du gjorde och vad som hände
This is visible from the start of the 1756 year (which is being played at time of posting this report). This does not affect game play per-se, though French units have not tried to re-enter Rumford to check if they would need to fight the militia afresh or would not as it remains in French hands. Expect that the British will march through it and it will automatically revert so we will not know.
