A lot of new players ask me how to use the marker. Its not obvious you have to click on the tile before giving a color clue

Rapporthistorik
When time permits, it does seem worth experimenting with either removing them for 1 player as you suggest, or making them a per player option (similar to the auto-tool-use options in Stone Age) with the default being either to show them or not show them. If you have input on those options it would be welcome.
In the meantime, there are other bugs to be tackled first, and the look / room color selection experience is at least consistent with multi-player scenarios as it is now.
