You played in competitive mode.

In this mode, when you own gold, payment is manual.

You must click on each token you wish to spend. Until the payment is done and valid, the Buy button will remain grey.

Is this what happened ?

Several times I was able to buy cards on the Green lower lever with Gems and I had 1 and then 2 Wild tokens but was unable to buy several cards... it happened more than once in this game

I lacked one stone for payment, but I had one unit of gold and I could not buy a reserved card. Then in this turn I got the missing stone. But on the next turn I still couldn't buy the reserved card. When I clicked on it, the item about buying a card simply did not appear.

The interface required me to pay one jewell more at this game: boardgamearena.com/table?table=168827313. The move was #78. I had one blue card and two blue chips but I had to pay two blue + two yellow chips for a new card that required 4 blue.

As this was an Arena game, I think it is fair to cancell its results. I was surely winning, as I had a 5 point card reserved which I was able to buy next round.

There is no extra chips paid. You required to provide 3 blue and a white chip. You had 1 White, 2 blue and 2 yellow. You gave 2 blue and 2 yellow, and still got the White chip in your stock.

True, but it didn't allow me to give the white chip... So I probably got confused that it was a card, not a chip :D
Anyway :D

I had a similar problem. I could never buy or reserve the card that just turned up. The person I was playing with did not have this problem. We were playing in training mode. For me, when a new card was flipped, it would not highlight at all, while all the other cards either had the blue or green outline around them. Clicking on it did nothing.

same problem: bottom row card black for 2 blue 2 white and 1 red , option to buy greyed out.
Had a second opinion and could not see why was unable to buy.

Impossible d'acheter une carte alors que j'ai ce qu'il faut.
Quand je regarde ce qu'il faut payer il ne prend pas en compte les cartes déjà acquises

I had the same problem twice in Table #169808434, the second time in my very last move. All the resources needed but the game would not let me buy

Tried to buy the bottom right card and it wouldn't let me. The Pay button had an X on it and wouldn't let me click it. It is not in competitive mode and the "show remaining costs" is not on. (Gold wasn't needed & it's exactly as it looks.)

Can't purchase a card for 2 green and 2 black. I clearly have way more resources than needed.
