I think you start arena games automatically to avoid players selecting an opponent. But it causes another problem. I play quoridor and finding an opponent in arena lasts hours sometimes. I cannot wait that much time looking at the screen. A few days ago, game had started without being aware and my opponent had kicked me off. My suggestion, there must be an approval button to start the game without showing the opponent.

Rapporthistorik
Even though I enjoy the Arena aspect, I don't see me playing any arena games for a while, especially games where you might wait up to 30 minutes or longer to get an opponent.
I have also started other games in getting tired of waiting, but was never taken out of the arena queue. I've closed the app after a game, and then logged back into a karma loss for abandoning a game I didn't even know I was still waiting for.
So basically, I have a handful of hits to my reputation when I didn't even realize a game started. It's the way it is of course, I understand that I am technically at fault. It's just quite frustrating as some games have extremely long queue lines.
