But using map tokens and moving back from the adjacent Dead Riding attraction, I still had a green die on it.

At the end of my operation phase, I accidentally noticed that the game still allowed me to select that green die to operate the Spooky Forest once more, after already operating it twice.

I don't believe there was anything else going on that would have allowed me another operation?
