tournament players should be at least paired with other players on the same side of the ocean - I got booted AND penalized because my set players were in 3 different time zones with opposite sleeping times and I'm 71 years old and 2 days with sleeping in 2 hour increments is bad - the set play time was 24 hours - loosing isn't the point - it's the time zones that are killing me - the last tournament I played in the player who got booted was HOURS over time and no sign of online - I was only 30 minutes - a second player ran out of time on the last move I made and the 3rd player was less than an hour out of time (the one who booted) - and another the player ran out of time without making the first move - I try to play fair - this isn't fair - if the pairing can't be fixed and i can't play tournament my BGA membership isn't worth much and if the tournament creators need a lesson in geography I'd be happy to help
